I explore the graphic qualities of hand drawn line and pattern combined with tactile ceramic forms. Continuity, drawing and re-drawing are key elements, and the choices and actions of the viewer are central to the work. The human nature and the environment (natural and man made) provide inspiration; how we interfere, adapt, take space and make space. We create problems and solve them. There is a strong element of play and involvement in my work; the viewer is invited to arrange and rearrange the multiples of cubes, creating new compositions, patterns and directions of line. I source second hand furniture which I then re-paint and draw on. These pieces provide a platform - an environment - for the cubes.
